Our Sterilization Process

Step 1: Pre-cleaning
All reusable instruments are thoroughly rinsed and wiped to remove debris before sterilization.

Step 2: Ultrasonic Cleaning
Instruments undergo ultrasonic agitation to remove microscopic particles.

Step 3: Autoclave Sterilization
Using a medical-grade autoclave, instruments are sterilized with high-temperature steam. Each cycle is tracked with mechanical and chemical indicators, and weekly biological (spore) testing ensures complete sterilization in line with Alberta’s dental hygiene standards and the CSA Z314 series.

Step 4: Safe Packing
Sterilized instruments are sealed in protective pouches with chemical indicators to confirm sterility.

Step 5: Secure Storage & Transport
Packaged tools are stored in a sterile container and transported under controlled, contamination-free conditions.
